Summer Intensive Auditions
During the summer of 2018, Tulsa Ballet will host the twenty-third year of its Summer Intensive, Pointe to the Future, offering students the opportunity to train with “one of the best ballet companies in the world” as well as guest artists from the international dance community. Serious ballet students ages nine years and older are invited to audition for this four-week intensive. Admission is by audition only.

Dancers should bring a $25 audition fee and a 4×6 or smaller headshot to the audition. Pre-register for the audition location of your choice to save time the day of the audition*. Video auditions are also accepted. For more information on video auditions, visit: Pointe to the Future FAQs .

*Audition fees are non-refundable.



Summer Ballet Camps


Creative Movement, Brookside
Creative Movement classes are designed for our youngest students who are new to Tulsa Ballet CDE and/or have no training or background in classical ballet. These classes combine a ballet structured class in a child-friendly setting. They focus on development of musical and rhythmic awareness, memory and focus for the training process and understanding of the protocol and etiquette of the ballet studio.

Creative Movement I: students ages 3 & 4
Creative Movement II: students ages 4 & 5*

*4 year olds enrolling in Creative Movement II must have already completed Creative Movement I



Preparatory Ballet, Brookside
Preparatory Ballet & Ballet Fundamentals classes combine a ballet structured class in a child-friendly setting. The curriculum focuses on development of musical and rhythmic awareness, memory and focus for the training process and understanding of the protocol and etiquette of the ballet studio. These classes prepare students for entry into Elementary Ballet 1, which is part of the Lower School.

Preparatory Ballet 1: ages 6 & 7
Preparatory Ballet 2: ages 7 & 8*
Ballet Fundamentals 1: ages 8-9** (Students enrolled in Ballet Fundamentals must attend both days listed for their class)

*7 year olds enrolling in Prep Ballet 2 must have already completed Prep Ballet 1

**9 year old students are highly encouraged to take a placement class for Elementary Ballet 1

Lower/Upper School, Brookside
Lower & Upper School training is for students wishing to pursue a career in dance. The Lower & Upper School programs offer classes at our Brookside campus for students 9 years old through 18. Students must take a placement class for the Lower & Upper School classes. To schedule a placement class, please contact us at (918) 712-LEAP. Students accepted into the Lower & Upper School programs are required to attend all classes listed under their assigned level, which will range from 2 days per week for lower levels to 5 days per week for upper levels.



Open Pre/Teen, Hardesty
Open Pre/Teen Ballet is for the student who wishes to receive a quality ballet education without the attendance commitment required for the Lower/Upper School.  These classes meet twice a week for one hour and allows the student to study ballet alongside other activities.

Students interested in other dance forms may enroll for whichever classes they qualify, based on age.



Lower/Upper School, Hardesty
Lower & Upper School training is for students wishing to pursue a career in dance. The Lower & Upper School programs offer classes at our Hardesty campus for students 9 years old through 12.
